COVID ☑️

Tested positive today for COVID at home. Will be self-isolating until I get tested negative again.

Don’t worry, I feel well, just a little dry cough and nose congestion in the past few days. No loss of smell.

I’ve taken every precaution possible (except my roommate held a big party and I stayed in my room) but still got it after receiving an exposure notification from my iPhone.

I tried to go to the community testing site but the line is insane, I couldn’t even get a parking space.

I mailed back the Vault PCR test sample last Friday but it hasn’t been delivered yet. So I grab a rapid test from CVS for $10. And that’s the picture in the first tweet.

I also tried to report my positive case in the built-in COVIDAware, but I was told that I need to be officially tested by a site or a lab to report a positive case. While I understand this is to prevent spamming and abuse, the official COVID testing capacity is significantly deficient. By the time I’ve been able to report, I might have already recovered.
